ملخص الرسالة الاسم الكامل: منى عادل البنعلي عنوان الرسالة: نموذج لقياس ثقافة أمن المعلومات في الجامعات. التخصص: هندسة البرمجيات تاريخ الدرجة العلمية: مايو 2025 تخسر المنظمات الكثير من الأموال بسبب خروقات البيانات والخروقات الأمنية والهجمات الأمنية في البلدان المتقدمة. تؤثر هذه الحوادث سلبًا على سمعة المنظمة وخسارتها المالية وثقتها التجارية. علاوة على ذلك، تتزايد أهمية إدارة أمن المعلومات بسبب العولمة والمنافسة الدولية. ويتمثل الحل في تطوير ثقافة واعية بالأمن حيث يكون الموظفون أكثر وعياً بالتهديدات ومسؤولياتهم، مما يسمح لهم بالتصرف بشكل مناسب وآمن. أظهرت الدراسات الحديثة اهتمامًا كبيرًا بالثقافة الأمنية. إلا أنه لم تتطرق أي دراسات سابقة إلى الثقافة الأمنية وقياسها في شكل مستوى الاستعداد في الجامعات العربية بشكل عام وفي الجامعات السعودية بشكل خاص. علاوة على ذلك، لم يبحث الباحثون في كيفية قياس مدى جاهزية الجامعة في التعامل مع تلك الثقافات الأمنية. يجب أن يكون لدى الجامعات طريقة لتحديد مستوى جاهزيتها الحالي بناءً على نموذج الاستعداد الحالي الذي تم تنفيذه في مؤسساتها. ولذلك تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تطوير نموذج جاهزية لمساعدة الجامعات السعودية على تقييم وتحسين جاهزيتها لثقافة أمن المعلومات. وهذا البحث فريد من نوعه لأنه يفتح المجال أمام الباحثين لتناول مثل هذه المواضيع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والخليج العربي.

English Abstract

ABSTRACT Full Name: Mona Adel Albinali Thesis Title: A Framework for Measuring Information Security Culture in Universities Major Field: Software Engineering Date of Degree: May 2025 Organizations lose a lot of money due to data breaches, security breaches, and security attacks in developed countries. These incidents negatively influence the reputation, financial loss, and commercial confidence of an organization. Furthermore, the importance of information security management is growing due to globalization and international competition. The solution would be to develop a security-aware culture in which employees are more aware of the threats and their responsibilities, allowing them to behave appropriately and safely. Recent studies have shown a lot of interest in security culture. However, no previous studies have touched on security culture and its measurement in the form of readiness level in universities. Furthermore, the researchers did not investigate how to measure the university's readiness to address these security cultures. Universities should have a way to identify their current readiness level based on the existing readiness model that has been implemented in their organization. Therefore, this study aims to develop a readiness model to help universities assess and improve their readiness for the information security culture. This research is unique because it opens the way for researchers to address such topics in the Middle East and the Arab Gulf.
