English Abstract
Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in performance evaluation of digital communication systems. The whole systm is designed to have a certain probability of error for the given signal to noise ratio. Except for a few simple channels, it is not easy to get probability of error. This is especially true in case of mobile communications, where the system has to be operated over different types of fading channels. The performance of mobile communication systems is to be investigated by different methods. These methods do not require the detailed analysis of the channel; rather only the first few moments which may be obtained by measurements, or from closed-form formulae, are needed. Also the aplication of spread spectrum techniques will be explored.
