English Abstract
This thesis discusses and analyzes the different classifications of construction cost and the essential facors which building contractors are advised to take into account in tendering their projects. A survey of 34 contractors and 13 consultants from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia was undertaken. There are different factors that are essential and should be considered in estimating construction cost. These factors were ranked according to an importance index. Ranking was done individually from contractors and consultants. A computer statistical package was used to analyze the data.
